TJ Lovat is a retired professor from Australia.

His academic work was mainly in Religion and Education, with a passion for history, philosophy and Islam. With family roots in the Scottish Highlands, TJ Lovat penned the Son of a Jacobite trilogy based loosely on Lovat family history.

Having published 25 academic books (including translations) and over 200 refereed journal articles and book chapters, he enjoyed the challenge of writing creatively for the first time, and has since published a fourth novel, A Priest and A Boy.
